Mark returned to the estate that evening completely exhausted, the heavy weight of Julian's unexpected attack pressing deeply onto his shoulders.
He found Elena in his private study, sitting perfectly still in front of his glowing computer monitors, surrounded by massive stacks of financial reports.
David had briefed her on the terrifying situation at the office, and she immediately went to work to protect her family.
"Mark, you need to look at this right now," Elena said urgently, pointing to a complex web of banking transactions on the screen.
Mark walked over and wrapped his arms gently around her shoulders, completely amazed by her fierce dedication.
"Julian claims his offshore company bought those patents legally, but I traced the initial funding back to a hidden account in Switzerland," Elena explained brilliantly.
She typed rapidly on the keyboard, bringing up a deeply hidden digital ledger.
"The money Julian used to buy your patents was actually stolen directly from Eleanor's frozen assets right before her final conviction," Elena revealed excitedly.
Mark's eyes widened in absolute shock as he realized the incredible magnitude of her discovery.
"If we can prove he used frozen, illegal funds, his entire ownership claim becomes completely void, and the federal authorities will arrest him for grand larceny," Mark realized aloud.
Elena had just found the absolute perfect weapon to completely destroy Julian's arrogant corporate takeover.
