Chapter 10 - A Beautiful New Chapter.
One entire year had passed since the dramatic, chaotic trial that had completely destroyed Victoria and Eleanor's evil legacy.
The grand Carter estate was no longer a cold, dark mansion filled with secrets, but a bright, incredibly warm home filled with laughter.
Mark stood on the beautiful sunlit balcony, watching as little Lily took her very first, wobbly steps across the soft green grass.
Elena was kneeling right in front of the baby, holding her arms wide open and cheering with absolute, pure joy.
"You can do it, sweetie! Come to mama!" Elena encouraged brightly, her beautiful smile lighting up the entire garden.
Lily giggled loudly and stumbled right into Elena's warm embrace, completely surrounded by absolute love and perfect safety.
Mark walked down the grand marble staircase and stepped out into the beautiful garden, his heart completely overflowing with immense gratitude.
He gently pulled Elena up from the grass, wrapping one arm around her waist and holding Lily tightly with his other arm.
"She is growing up so incredibly fast, I can hardly believe it has been a whole year," Mark said softly, kissing Elena's forehead.
"We have been through absolute hell to get here, but I would not change a single second of our incredible journey," Elena replied beautifully.
Mark reached into his pocket and pulled out a stunning, brilliant diamond ring that sparkled perfectly in the afternoon sunlight.
He slowly dropped to one knee right there on the grass, looking up at the incredibly brave woman who had saved his entire world.
"Elena, you protected my daughter with your life, and you completely healed my deeply broken heart," Mark said with deep emotion.
"Will you marry me, and officially become the incredible mother that Lily already knows you are?" Mark asked hopefully.
Elena felt happy tears streaming rapidly down her cheeks as she nodded her head with absolute, undeniable certainty.
"Yes, Mark! Yes, I will completely marry you!" Elena cried happily, pulling him up into a deep, passionate kiss.
David stood near the greenhouse, smiling warmly as he watched the beautiful family finally find their perfect happy ending.
