Chapter 5 - The Mistress's Golden Parachute and the Fake Offshore Shell Company

While Julian was busy coordinating with the caterers and event planners for his grand Thursday night gala, Victoria Sterling was busy orchestrating her own side betrayal.

One thing Marcus Vance's investigative team discovered early was that honor does not exist among thieves.

Elena's forensic dive into Victoria's encrypted email traffic revealed something extraordinary: Victoria had zero intention of staying with Julian once the stolen funds cleared into the Nevis account. She had secretly created a secondary sub-account titled Sterling Capital LLC and was preparing to sweep the entire $4.2 million from Julian's grasp the moment the wire landed, boarding an international flight to Zurich before Julian could even file for our divorce.

I decided to help her along.

Using an anonymous secure email channel provided by Marcus's digital forensics unit, we sent Victoria a spoofed notification from the offshore financial administrator in Nevis, stating that due to enhanced compliance protocols, the wire transfer required a secondary manual authorization code from the primary account manager—Julian's encrypted office desktop.

Victoria took the bait instantly.

Desperate to secure the funds before Julian noticed, she bypassed the security protocols at the firm’s headquarters late Tuesday night. She snuck into Julian’s private office, used a keylogger she had previously installed on his system, and copied his private encryption keys onto an external hard drive.

Every move she made was captured in 4K resolution by the corporate security cameras that my father's original trust company had installed years ago—cameras that Julian had completely forgotten were hardwired directly to my personal backup cloud, not the office server.

By Wednesday afternoon, I held complete, undeniable video and digital evidence of:

Julian forging my signatures to steal my inheritance.

Julian attempting to declare me mentally incompetent.

Victoria breaking into Julian's office to steal the stolen money from him.

Both of them openly conspiring to commit federal bank fraud, wire fraud, and grand larceny.

They were two vipers in a pit, each convinced they were the smartest predator in the room, while Marcus, Elena, and I were quietly sliding the iron lid over the top.
