Chapter 12 - The Public Humiliation: The Shareholder Gala Where the Slideshow Played the Truth

Julian stood behind the sleek glass podium, bathing in the admiration of the room. The massive 30-foot digital presentation screen behind him displayed the Vance Logistics Group logo in high resolution.
"Thank you, everyone," Julian began, his voice commanding and smooth. "Seven years ago, this company was founded on a simple principle: relentless innovation and uncompromised trust. Tonight, as we announce our international expansion, we are also restructuring our core leadership to usher in a new era of unprecedented growth."
He glanced down at Victoria in the front row, who gave him an eager, triumphant nod.
Julian raised his wireless presentation clicker. "I invite you all to look at the screen behind me to witness the future of this enterprise."
Julian clicked the button.
The screen flickered. But instead of the promotional corporate video, a crystal-clear, high-definition audio-video recording filled the screen.
It was the Denver International Airport concourse.
Julian’s face appeared thirty feet tall, locked in a passionate embrace with Victoria Sterling.
The entire ballroom went dead, breathless, pin-drop silent.
Then, Julian’s voice boomed through the high-end surround sound system with earth-shattering clarity:
"Everything's ready. That idiot is about to lose everything."
Victoria’s recorded voice echoed instantly across the room: "She won't even know what hit her."
Gasps of pure shock erupted across the ballroom. Julian froze on stage, his face draining of every drop of color, his hand shaking uncontrollably as he frantically mashed the clicker button. "What is this? AV team, shut that off! Shut it off right now!"
Instead of shutting off, the presentation transitioned to the next slide: high-resolution scans of the forged quitclaim deeds, the fake medical incompetency documents, the offshore bank transfer ledgers, and the internal emails detailing their plan to steal the venture capital funds and flee to Europe.
The final slide displayed a massive, bold title across the screen:
UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT: SEVERAL INDICTMENTS FOR FEDERAL WIRE FRAUD, SECURITIES FRAUD, AND GRAND LARCENY.
The ballroom descended into utter pandemonium. Investors leaped to their feet, shouting in outrage. High-profile board members stared at Julian with pure disgust.

Victoria stood up, knocking her champagne glass to the floor where it shattered violently across the polished parquet. "Julian, what did you do?!" she screamed, her composure completely disintegrating.
I slowly stood up from my seat at the front table, smoothing down my sapphire dress, and walked calmly toward the center aisle.
