Chapter 15 - The Sunrise of Truth

One year later – October 14th.
Emma’s seventh birthday.
The grand lawn of the estate was decorated with colorful balloons, a bouncy castle, and tables filled with cakes and pastries. Dozens of Emma’s school friends, along with Martha, Dr. Sarah Miller, and Marcus, were celebrating under a cloudless sky.
Jonathan stood on the terrace, watching Emma chase butterflies.
A pair of gentle arms wrapped around his waist from behind. Elena rested her chin against his chest, wearing an elegant white summer dress and the fused silver heart locket around her neck.
"Penny for your thoughts, Mr. Sterling?" Elena whispered.
Jonathan smiled, turning to embrace her. "I was just thinking about that broken jade statue. It was the greatest blessing of my entire life."
Elena laughed softly. "Jade statues shatter, lies crumble, but love always finds its way home."
Across the lawn, Emma called out with pure joy:
"Mommy! Daddy! Come cut the cake!"
