Chapter 13 - THE SWISS ACCOUNT REVELATION

Zurich, Switzerland.
The private banking suite was quiet and sterile.
Sarah sat across from a senior Swiss bank director in a sharp charcoal suit.
She placed the golden key and the journal onto the glass desk.
The director’s eyes widened as he examined the serial numbers inscribed on the key.
“This account has been dormant for over fifteen years,” the director said in a hushed tone.
“It belongs to the Moretti estate,” Sarah said calmly. “And I am the sole legal beneficiary.”
The director typed rapidly into his secure terminal.
A green confirmation screen flashed across the monitor.
“Verification complete, Mrs. Moretti,” the director breathed. “One hundred and twenty million dollars in liquid assets.”
Sarah didn’t smile.
She felt only a cold, profound sense of vindication.
Alessandro had spent his entire life plotting, betraying, and stealing to accumulate wealth.
And in the end, it all belonged to the woman he tried to cast aside.
“Transfer the full balance to our primary corporate holdings in New York,” Sarah instructed.
“Done,” the director replied respectfully.
Sarah stood up, buttoning her white wool coat.
Her war was finally won.

The empire was hers, absolute and unchallenged.
