Chapter 9 - The Wrath of Castellano — When New York's Dark King Burns Down Five Warehouses in One Night
By midnight, the Hudson Valley estate was locked down under maximum security.
Leo was safely asleep in the fortified panic room beneath the manor, clutching the green superhero toy Norah had placed in his hands.
Norah sat in the kitchen, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, sipping hot tea while the family doctor bandaged a minor scrape on her forearm.
Luca walked in.
He was wearing a black tactical coat. His face was carved from granite.
“Who was it?” Norah asked quietly.
“Moretti’s rogue faction,” Luca answered, his voice deathly quiet. “In league with an outside investor who provided the funding for the weapons.”
Norah looked up. Her sharp analytical mind clicked instantly.
“The outside investor... it was Sebastian, wasn't it?”
Luca looked at her.
“Sebastian Crane borrowed $10 million from Moretti’s loan sharks to cover the interest payment he owed you,” Luca said. “When he realized he was going to lose everything, he told Moretti where my convoy would be tonight.”
Norah’s hands tightened around her mug.
Sebastian had not just tried to ruin her life; he had put a five-year-old child in the crosshairs of automatic weapons.
Norah stood up, the blanket falling from her shoulders.
“Don't just defeat them, Luca,” Norah said, her eyes burning with an icy resolve that matched his own. “Destroy them completely.”
Luca stepped close, his hand cupping her cheek, his thumb brushing over her cheekbone.
“Consider it done, wife.”
Between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM, five industrial shipping warehouses in Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island belonging to Moretti’s syndicate went up in towering infernos.

By 5:00 AM, Don Moretti was on a cargo ship bound for Sicily, stripped of every asset, business, and title he had ever possessed in the United States.
And Sebastian Crane was sitting in his penthouse, watching the morning news in horror as his entire financial network went up in smoke.
