Chapter 15 - A Crown of Diamonds and a Vow Written in Forever

Dante reached down, took both of her hands in his, and gently pulled her up to stand before him.
“I spent ten years thinking I was only built for blood and war,” Dante said, his deep voice softening with profound sincerity. “I thought love was a weakness that would get me killed. But the moment you poured that tea in the Gilded Leaf, you became my strength. You faced down assassins, uncovered conspiracies, and stood beside me when the entire world was burning.”
He dropped to one knee on the polished floor.
From his inner pocket, he produced a velvet box. Inside rested a flawless eight-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, surrounded by a halo of sapphires that shimmered like blue starlight.
“I tore up the fake contract because I don't want a fake bride,” Dante said, looking up into her eyes with raw devotion. “Sienna Moretti, I want you to be my real wife. My queen. The only woman who will ever rule my heart and this city beside me. Will you marry me?”
Tears of pure joy spilled down Sienna’s cheeks. All the fear, the chaos, and the danger of the past month dissolved into radiant warmth.
“Yes,” she whispered, laughing through her tears. “Yes! A thousand times, yes!”
Dante slid the heavy diamond onto her finger, rose to his feet, and swept her into his arms, kissing her with a passion that took her breath away.
Six months later.
The historic Holy Name Cathedral in downtown Chicago was adorned with thousands of white roses and glowing candles. Outside, the summer sun shone brightly over Michigan Avenue.
Hundreds of guests—dignitaries, community leaders, and the entire Valente family—stood in reverence as the grand organ began to play.
Sienna walked down the aisle in a custom lace bridal gown with a ten-foot train, her arm linked with her father, Marco, who smiled proudly with tears in his eyes.
Waiting at the altar was Dante, striking and magnificent in a custom black tuxedo, looking at her as if she were the only miracle in the universe. Lucia sat in the front pew, beaming with immense pride, dabbing her eyes with a silk handkerchief.
When Marco placed Sienna’s hand into Dante’s, the mob boss leaned down and whispered, “You are the best decision I ever made.”
“And you’re the best accident that ever happened to me,” Sienna replied with a radiant smile.

Under the vaulted ceilings of the cathedral, before God and the entire city, they exchanged vows of eternal loyalty and love. As Dante pulled her in for their first kiss as husband and wife, the church bells rang across Chicago, announcing the dawn of a new era—ruled not by fear, but by an unbreakable bond of love and honor.
