Chapter 15 - An Eternal Spring for the Forgotten Rose (The End)

Arthur did not drop to one knee out of obligation or corporate tradition; he knelt with the deep, humble reverence of a man who knew he was looking at the greatest treasure the world could ever offer.

He opened the box. Inside was a breathtaking ring—a flawless, rare emerald surrounded by a delicate cluster of micro-diamonds carved in the shape of blooming rose petals, set in platinum.

"Lily Sterling," Arthur said, his voice trembling slightly with genuine vulnerability. "You took a life full of winter and turned it into an eternal spring. I don't want to conquer this world alone. I want to build a future with you, protect you, and love you for the rest of my days. Will you marry me?"

Tears of pure, radiant happiness spilled down Lily’s cheeks. She didn't hesitate for a single second.

"Yes," Lily whispered, her voice overflowing with love. "Yes, Arthur. A thousand times, yes."

Arthur slid the ring onto her finger, rose to his feet, and pulled her into his arms, kissing her beneath the canopy of blooming white roses as the golden rays of the setting sun bathed the conservatory in warm, amber light.

One year later, the grand wedding took place at the very hotel where their story had begun—the Grand Meridian.

Only this time, the heavy brass doors were thrown wide open to everyone. There were no velvet ropes, no cruel security guards, and no shivering flower girls left outside in the snow.

The ballroom was filled not just with ambassadors and business leaders, but with the street vendors, the nurses, the hospital staff, and the working-class families whose lives had been forever transformed by the Sterling-Vance Foundation.

Noah stood proudly as Arthur’s best man, wearing a tailored tuxedo with a white rose pinned to his lapel, while Eleanor walked her daughter down the aisle—an aisle carpeted with millions of fresh, unbruised white lilies.

As Lily walked toward Arthur, looking radiant in a cascading lace gown that sparkled like fresh snow under the morning sun, her fingers gently brushed the silver locket resting over her heart.

She knew her father was watching from the heavens, smiling down upon the family that had survived the storm.
