Chapter 6 - The Secret Lab In The Virginia Blue Ridge

That afternoon, a military transport helicopter flew Harrison and me deep into the secluded Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Hidden beneath a pine-covered valley was Facility 7—the ultra-classified research complex where my father had conducted his original aerospace experiments twenty years ago.

The subterranean blast doors opened, revealing a sprawling high-tech laboratory filled with advanced quantum computers, holographic missile tracking arrays, and prototype propulsion engines.

Sitting at the central terminal was Dr. Walter Ross—a seventy-year-old aerospace physicist who had worked as my father’s chief lab assistant.

When Dr. Ross saw me walk through the blast doors, his eyes filled with tears.

“Thomas’s daughter...” the old scientist whispered, his voice trembling as he stepped forward to take my hands. “You look so much like your father, Claire.”

Dr. Ross pulled up the master encryption core on the main holographic display.

“For twelve years, Marcus Vance has tried to reverse-engineer your father’s quantum propulsion code,” Dr. Ross explained. “He couldn't unlock the final phase because Thomas encoded the master encryption key using the unique retinal and genetic markers of his own children.”

Dr. Ross gestured to the biometric scanner on the console.

“Place your hand on the glass, Claire.”

I stepped forward and pressed my palm against the cool biometric glass.

A green laser swept across my hand and eyes.

The entire facility hummed with immense electrical power as eighteen years of locked defense patents, proprietary software keys, and classified weapon schematics simultaneously decrypted onto Harrison’s military tactical drives.

“We have the master keys,” Harrison said, a fierce, victorious smile breaking across his rugged face. “Now we strike.”
