Chapter 13 - The Grand Syndicate Tribunal

Three days later, the leaders of all twelve crime families across Italy convened at the Grand Hall of Naples for the extraordinary Syndicate Tribunal.
The massive room was packed with hundreds of captains, capos, and international delegates. Rumors had spread like wildfire across Europe: the legendary Vance line had returned, Don Roberto had been avenged, and Giovanni Rossi had unified the southern territories in a single bloody afternoon.
When the heavy gilded double doors opened, the entire hall rose to its feet in profound, reverent silence.
Walking down the crimson carpet, arm in arm, were Giovanni Rossi and Isadora Marino-Vance.
Gio was dressed in a pristine charcoal bespoke three-piece suit, radiating absolute, uncontested dominion. His cold, predatory gaze swept over the crowd, daring any man to challenge his right to rule.
Beside him, Isadora walked like an Empress of the Mediterranean. She wore an off-the-shoulder gown of pure ivory silk, the Vance diamond choker blazing at her throat, the black diamond matriarch ring on her finger, and a bespoke platinum dagger sheathed at her hip.
They reached the raised dais where the ancient iron throne of the Syndicate Grand Council stood.
Don Carbone, the oldest surviving Don in Italy, stepped forward carrying the golden ceremonial scepter of supreme authority.
“By the decree of the Twelve Families,” Carbone’s voice echoed through the vaulted hall, “we recognize the crimes of Arturo Rossi and Don Moretti. We declare the bloodline of Roberto Rossi fully vindicated, and we recognize Lady Isadora Vance as the rightful sovereign of the Vance estates and supreme financial advisor to the High Council.”
Carbone bowed low, presenting the scepter to Gio.
Gio took the scepter, but he did not sit on the throne.
Instead, Gio turned to Isadora. In front of the entire underworld of Italy, Don Giovanni Rossi went down on one knee.
A collective gasp rippled through the hall. Never in the history of the Italian syndicates had a Don knelt before anyone.
Gio looked up at Isadora, his eyes shining with pure pride and eternal devotion.
“I do not rule this coast alone,” Gio proclaimed, his voice carrying to every corner of the grand hall. “Whatever is mine belongs to my wife. To cross Isadora Vance is to declare war on Giovanni Rossi. To serve her is to serve the throne.”
Gio took her hand and placed the golden scepter into her palm.
Isadora looked down at him, her heart overflowing with love. She squeezed his hand, then gestured for him to rise.
Gio stood, pulling her beside him as they turned to face the hundreds of syndicate leaders.

Together, they raised their joined hands.
The entire hall erupted into deafening applause and cheers, every Don bowing low before the King and Queen of the Amalfi Coast.
