Chapter 10 - Blood on the Coastline

Silence descended over the courtyard, heavy and suffocating.

Isadora stepped forward, opening an encrypted military-grade tablet and placing it in the center of the marble roundtable. With a single tap, the tablet projected a holographic display above the table, linking directly to the main display screens around the courtyard.

“What you are looking at,” Isadora addressed the assembled Dons, her voice crisp and commanding, “is the unedited financial ledger of the Rossi and Moretti families, verified by the Swiss Banking Authority and sealed with my father Lorenzo Vance’s master encryption key.”

The screens lit up with bank transfers, offshore accounts, and audio recordings.

“Twenty million euros transferred from the Rossi port accounts directly to Don Moretti’s private shell company in Panama,” Isadora stated, cycling through the documents. “Authorized not by Giovanni Rossi, but by Arturo Rossi.”

Arturo began to tremble, his face turning the color of chalk. “It’s a forgery! She’s Lorenzo Vance’s bastard daughter, sent to destroy us all!”

“And this,” Isadora continued, ignoring him completely, “is the toxicology report from Don Roberto Rossi’s personal physician, who was captured two hours ago by our men in Naples. He has already signed a full confession stating that Arturo Rossi paid him three million euros to systematically poison Don Roberto with digitalis.”

A roar of outrage erupted from the Carbone and Bellini Dons.

“Kinslayer!” Don Carbone spat, standing up and backing away from Arturo. “To murder your own brother! There is no honor in this!”

Moretti realized the game was lost. He reached for his weapon, screaming, “Kill them all!”

Chaos erupted.

Moretti’s private mercenaries opened fire, but Gio and his men were already moving. Gio grabbed the heavy marble table with one hand and flipped it onto its side, creating an impenetrable barricade to shield Isadora.

Gunfire echoed across the Capri cliffs like rolling thunder.

Gio leaned out from behind the marble barricade, firing with deadly, rhythmic precision, dropping Moretti’s gunmen one by one. Luca and Matteo advanced in a tactical pincer movement, their automatic fire suppressing the remaining traitors.

Arturo, panicked and desperate, bolted toward the back of the courtyard toward the private helicopter waiting on the cliffside pad.

“Gio! Arturo is running!” Isadora shouted over the deafening roar of gunfire.

Gio looked at her, his eyes blazing with the final hunt. “Stay behind cover!”

“Not a chance!” Isadora drew a sleek silver Walther PPK from her shoulder holster under her blazer. “We finish this together!”
