Chapter 10 - The Unwritten Chapter

One year after the night the wall came down, the Bellini estate hosted something it hadn't seen in over half a century: a family dinner where nobody locked the doors, nobody checked beneath the furniture, and nobody wore a wire.
The dining room table was laden with roasted meats, fine Italian wines, and enough food to feed an army. At the head of the table sat Samuel Bellini, telling old stories about the Chicago docks that made Sofia laugh until she cried. Rose sat beside him, her hand resting comfortably over his, the lines of worry etched into her face over decades finally smoothed away by peace.

"To old ghosts," Marco said, his deep voice carrying clearly down the long table, his gaze locking warmly with mine across the candlelight. "And to the people brave enough to tear down the walls so we could finally breathe."
Everyone raised their glasses.

"To new hearts," Samuel added softly, lifting his glass in salute.
I smiled, taking a sip of my drink, feeling the steady, unbroken rhythm of life moving forward. The past was buried deep beneath the earth where it belonged, and the future—open, unscripted, and entirely free—was ours to write.
