Chapter 15 - The Voice of Forever

One year later, the bells of the grand cathedral overlooking Yokohama Harbor rang in joyous celebration.

Thousands of guests gathered—dignitaries, reformed allies, dock workers, and everyday people whose lives had been transformed by the foundation.

Claire walked down the aisle in a custom silk gown embroidered with delicate silver cherry blossoms, looking breathtakingly radiant. Gabriel stood at the altar, unashamedly wiping away tears of profound happiness as he watched his bride approach.

When they exchanged their vows, they did so in Japanese and English—a promise forged in danger, sealed in loyalty, and sanctified by eternal love.

Later that evening, standing on the balcony of their private estate watching the lantern festival illuminate the harbor, Gabriel wrapped his arms around Claire from behind, gently resting his hands over her slightly rounded belly.

“What will we teach our child first?” Gabriel whispered against her ear, smiling against her skin.

Claire turned in his embrace, resting her head against his chest where his heart beat strong and steady.

“We will teach them,” Claire replied softly, “that the quietest voices often carry the greatest power in the world.”
