Chapter 13 - The Criminal Indictments and Total Financial Ruin for the Usurpers

Following the grand jury ruling, the full weight of the legal system descended upon the conspirators without mercy.

Julian Caldwell, facing multiple federal wire fraud charges in Florida in addition to the arson charges in Georgia, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to fourteen years in federal prison with an order of full financial restitution.

Veronica Caldwell, found guilty of elder financial abuse, identity theft, and grand larceny, was sentenced to eight years at the Pulaski State Prison, with her personal assets liquidated by court receivers to satisfy the hundreds of thousands of dollars in fraudulent credit debts she had accumulated.

Derek Serrano, whose direct participation in the forgery and attempted arson left him with no legal defense, broke down completely during his sentencing hearing. Taking into account his lack of prior criminal history and Manuel’s personal plea for leniency regarding maximum sentencing, the judge sentenced Derek to five years in state custody followed by ten years of strict supervised probation, accompanied by five thousand hours of mandatory community service.
