Chapter 11 - The Boardroom Showdown and the Power of Real Influence

I looked at my brother kneeling in spirit before me. The arrogance, the condescension, the smirking superiority—all of it had been burned away by the brutal reality of his own financial incompetence.

I looked at the clock on my wall. It was 8:55 AM.

"Wait here," I said coldly. "I have a multi-billion-dollar merger board meeting to run. When I return, we will discuss your future."

I walked out of the office, flanked by Sarah Lin and my legal team, and headed straight into Boardroom A.

Inside the massive boardroom, thirty high-powered executives, top Wall Street attorneys, and senior board members of Apex Global Media were either seated around the forty-foot marble table or connected via high-definition video conference from New York, London, and Tokyo.

Julian Drake, the CEO of Apex, stood at the head of the table. When I entered, every single person in the room stood up in unison.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Julian Drake announced, smiling warmly. "The architect of modern streaming. Ms. Alexandra Vance."

The room erupted into genuine, enthusiastic applause from the most powerful corporate minds in the world.

For the next two hours, I commanded the room with absolute precision. We reviewed the operational transition protocols, ratified the IP integration strategy, finalized the executive leadership matrix, and executed the closing regulatory filings for the SEC.

There was no hesitation in my voice. No doubt. No fear. Every decision I made was sharp, strategic, and authoritative.

Through the glass conference wall that looked back toward my executive suite, I could see my family watching through the windows. They watched as world-renowned corporate titans hung on my every word, waiting for my approval before moving forward with multi-hundred-million-dollar line items.

For the first time in their lives, my parents and Marcus realized who Alexandra Vance truly was. I was not their quiet, introverted little daughter who needed rescuing. I was a force of nature who commanded respect from the highest echelons of global commerce.

At 11:15 AM, the final document was signed, stamped, and transmitted to the New York Stock Exchange. The acquisition of Vanguard Creative Group was legally, formally, and irreversibly complete.

I shook hands with Julian Drake, accepted the congratulations of the board, and walked back into my private office.
