Chapter 7 - The Bloodline Ledger: Unearthing The Decades-Old Betrayal In The Basement Archives

While the tactical units mobilized for Teterboro, Claire and Arthur Vance remained at the hospital to prepare the legal counter-assault.
Arthur sat in his wheelchair, reviewing the original articles of incorporation for Sterling Holdings, dated September 14, 1974.
"Julian is not my biological son," Arthur said quietly, looking out over the city lights.
Claire looked up from her legal pads, stunned. "Arthur... what?"
The old patriarch looked at his daughter-in-law, his eyes heavy with decades of buried sorrow. "Forty-two years ago, when I married Julian’s mother, Evelyn, she was already pregnant by her previous partner—a corporate raider named Richard Vance, Arthur's disgraced cousin. I raised Julian as my own. I gave him the Sterling name. I gave him twenty percent of the trust. But I knew the darkness in his blood."
Arthur pointed a trembling finger at a specific clause in the founding charter—Clause 44, Subsection C.
"The Bloodline Injunction," Arthur said. "It states that any voting proxy executed under power-of-attorney is rendered null and void if the proxy holder is proven to have acted against the fiduciary survival of the core bloodline. If Daniel is present in the boardroom, his direct lineage supersedes any proxy held by a non-lineal heir."
"Julian never read the foundational charter," Claire realized, her eyes widening. "He only read the 2010 corporate bylaws."
"Julian was always too arrogant to read the foundations," Arthur said coldly. "He believed that money creates authority. He never understood that authority is forged in blood, loyalty, and honor."

Arthur turned his wheelchair toward the door.
"Call the company helicopter to the hospital helipad," Arthur commanded. "I have not missed an annual board meeting in fifty years. I do not intend to start today."
