Chapter 15 - The Boss’s Vow and a New Dawn (The End)

Instead of answering with words, I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out a small black velvet box.

Evelyn’s breath caught in her throat.

I went down on one knee on the marble balcony beneath the starlit sky.

I opened the box to reveal a flawless emerald-cut diamond ring, flanked by two sapphires—the colors of the united Voss and Vance crests.

“Evelyn,” I said, looking up into the eyes of the woman who had transformed my darkness into light. “You spent your life running from a past you didn't choose. But today, I’m asking you to choose your future. Not as my secretary. Not as a business partner. But as my wife, my equal, and the queen of everything I own.”

Tears welled up in her eyes, brilliant as diamonds in the moonlight.

“Adrien...” she whispered, her voice trembling with sheer joy.

“Will you marry me?”

“Yes,” she choked out, a laugh breaking through her tears. “A thousand times yes!”

I slid the ring onto her finger. It fit perfectly.

I rose to my feet, caught her by the waist, and lifted her into my arms. When our lips met, the city below seemed to burst into celebration, the distant horns and city hum singing a symphony for a new era.

Her hands tangled in my hair, pulling me closer, sealing a bond that had been written in the blood of our fathers and sanctified by our own love.

One year later, the Voss estate was completely rebuilt—not as a dark fortress of crime, but as a sunlit palace surrounded by blooming jasmine gardens and open gates.

The Grand Ballroom, once scarred by fire and bullets, was filled with the music of laughter, classical strings, and the clinking of crystal flutes.

Friends, reformed allies, and legitimate business leaders from across the globe stood in applause as Evelyn walked down the aisle in a cascading gown of white lace, looking more radiant than an angel.

When she placed her hand in mine at the altar, I knew the cycle of blood and vengeance was broken forever.

We had faced the sins of the past, destroyed the monsters in the dark, and built an empire founded on truth, honor, and an unbreakable love.

“To a new dawn, Mrs. Voss,” I whispered as the minister pronounced us husband and wife.

“To forever, Mr. Voss,” she replied with a radiant smile.

And as I kissed my bride amidst the roaring applause of our people, the shadow of the mafia boss disappeared, replaced by the man who had finally found his home.

THE END
