Chapter 14 - The Grand Opening Of The Morales Horizon Center

Six months later, spring had arrived in Denver.
At 14 Cherry Hills Farm Drive—the former 10,000-square-foot luxury mansion of the Vega family—a massive transformation had taken place.
The ostentatious gold gates and private security barriers had been removed. In their place stood a beautiful, open community archway welcoming families, students, and young entrepreneurs.
The property was officially reopened as the Morales Horizon Center—a state-of-the-art educational facility providing free vocational training, small-business incubators, and housing support for low-income single mothers and young professionals.
The Mayor of Denver stood beside Valeria and me, holding the ceremonial gold scissors before a crowd of over five hundred community members, students, and journalists.

Flashbulbs illuminated the bright blue sky as Valeria cut the ribbon, officially opening the doors to a new generation of dreamers.
