Chapter 10 - The Boardroom Reckoning: Stripping The Calloway Name From The Docks

On Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, the emergency meeting of the Charleston Maritime Commerce Board convened on the top floor of the Port Authority Building.
Graham Calloway sat alone at the end of the thirty-foot glass conference table. His empire had been shattered. Marcus Kane had been indicted on federal treason and arms smuggling charges. Thirty corrupt associates were in federal custody.
The double doors opened.
I strode into the boardroom, dressed in an impeccably tailored navy power suit, carrying the original gold-sealed leather binders of the Sterling Maritime Sovereign Trust.
Every board member, city official, and maritime director immediately rose to their feet in respectful silence.
I took the seat at the head of the table.
“Gentlemen,” I announced, placing the executive resolution before the board. “As the sole trustee of the Sterling Estate, controlling 100% of all deep-water harbor infrastructure, I hereby execute Resolution 104.”
Julian Cross read the terms:
Calloway Shipping Enterprises is formally dissolved and liquidated.
All legitimate maritime assets, freight lines, and cargo vessels are transferred under the newly incorporated Sterling Atlantic Logistics.
All syndicate influence, black-market contracts, and illicit operations are permanently dismantled and referred to federal authorities.
“Do I have any objections?” I asked, scanning the room.
Not a single director spoke.
“Motion approved,” the Port Commissioner declared, bringing his gavel down with a resounding crack.
I looked at Graham.
He didn't fight the resolution. He didn't object. He didn't even look at his lawyers.

He simply picked up his pen, signed every single transfer document without reading them, and slid them across the glass table toward me.
“It was always yours, Elena,” Graham whispered, his voice trembling with profound sincerity. “Everything I ever built was only because you gave me a foundation to stand upon.”
