Chapter 13 - The Rebirth Of The Dynasty Under Pure Sunlight

Six months after the sentencing, the spring sun bathed the historic cobblestone streets of Tribeca in warm, golden light.

At the corner of Franklin and Hudson, the grand opening of Studio Isabella Lombardi was underway.

The five-story historic cast-iron building had been completely restored. The ground floor featured twenty-foot ceilings, exposed brick, and massive floor-to-ceiling blast-resistant glass windows that flooded the showroom with natural sunlight.

Inside, display cases of hand-rubbed brass and floating tempered glass showcased Isabella’s new independent master collection: The Dawn of Solitude. Every piece was a triumph of platinum metallurgy, unheated Burmese sapphires, and brilliant-cut diamonds that captured and refracted the sun.

Hundreds of the world’s leading art collectors, museum curators, and international fashion editors filled the space, sipping vintage champagne and marveling at the masterworks.

Massimo Lombardi stood near the grand entrance, wearing a bespoke navy three-piece suit, his gold-headed cane resting lightly against the polished concrete floor.

Isabella walked over to him, holding two glasses of sparkling mineral water.

"You haven't checked the security perimeter once today, Dad," she teased gently, handing him a glass.

Massimo smiled—a genuine, warm smile that reached his dark eyes. "Viktor has twelve men stationed within a two-block radius. The building’s structural integrity is impenetrable. I am simply enjoying the art."

He looked at the plaque mounted beside the central gallery:

"You built this entirely on your own terms, Isabella," Massimo said, his voice thick with pride.

"With my father standing at my back," she replied softly, leaning her head against his broad shoulder. "That makes all the difference."
