Part 4: The Architect of Lies

“Arrest her! Get this lunatic off the property!”
The booming voice echoed from the front row. Silas, the groom's father, stood up, his face a mask of purple, unhinged rage. He was a titan of industry, a man who moved politicians and markets with a single phone call. He gestured frantically to the private security guards lining the perimeter of the estate.
“She is a fraud! A trespassing vagrant!” Silas roared, marching toward the altar. “Get her away from my son!”
Two burly men in dark suits sprinted down the aisle, reaching for the kneeling woman.
“Don’t touch her!” the groom shouted.
It was a voice of absolute, terrifying authority. The groom stepped in front of the ragged woman, shielding her with his body. The security guards froze, unsure whether to obey the patriarch who paid them, or the heir who was currently staring at his father with pure, unfiltered hatred.
Silas stopped at the bottom of the steps. He tried to compose his features, arranging his face into a mask of paternal concern. “Julian, listen to me. This woman is a scam artist. She forged those documents. I’ll handle this—”
“She knew my birth date,” the bride interrupted, her voice shaking but gaining strength. She stepped down to stand beside Julian, holding the hospital bracelet up. “She knew my mother's maiden name. My mother, who you introduced to my adoptive parents. You orchestrated my adoption, didn't you?”
Silas’s jaw tightened. “Eliana, you are in shock. You are letting a crazy woman ruin the most important day of your life.”
“You ruined it!” Julian screamed, the sound tearing from his throat like a wounded animal. He looked at his father—the man he had idolized, the man he had modeled his entire existence after. “You stole us. Why? Why would you do this?”
The ragged woman looked up from the ground, her voice steadying as the truth finally spilled into the light.
“Because he needed an heir, but he didn't want the mothers,” she said, staring directly at Silas with decades of accumulated venom. “He was having affairs with women he deemed 'unworthy' of his social standing. When Julian was born, Silas paid the hospital administrator to declare the mother dead. He took the child to mold into his perfect successor. When Eliana was born to a different mistress a year later, he couldn't hide another illegitimate child. So he forced her mother into hiding and placed Eliana with his wealthy, infertile business partners.”
The crowd gasped. The whispers turned into a deafening roar of outrage and disbelief.
“He kept you both close,” the woman continued, tears streaming down her face. “He engineered your lives so you would meet. He wanted to merge the two families' assets. He thought it was the perfect corporate merger. He didn't care about your blood. He only cared about the empire.”
Julian stared at Silas, waiting for a denial. Waiting for his father to call it a lie, to provide proof, to do anything to prove he wasn't a monster.
But Silas didn't deny it. Instead, the older man’s face hardened into a cold, calculating sneer.

“I gave you everything,” Silas hissed, dropping the facade of the loving father. “I gave you wealth, education, and power. Both of you! You would have been nothing without my intervention. I built a dynasty, and this is how you repay me? By crying over a biological technicality?”
The absolute lack of remorse in his father's eyes was the final, devastating blow.
