Part 10: The Fallen Throne

With Silas incapacitated and the syndicate dismantled, the DeLuca family faced a crossroads. Enzo gathered the elders for the final time. He didn't want the throne. He didn't want the shadows. He placed the symbols of his family's criminal enterprise on the table and declared his departure. The elders were shocked, but they remembered the financial ruin Harper had saved them from. They accepted the terms. Enzo and Harper walked out of the cigar room, leaving the weight of the DeLuca name behind them.

The outside world would see it as a disappearance, but Harper knew better. It was an emergence. They were finally free to exist in the world as human beings rather than as cogs in a machine of violence and greed. As they drove away from the estate, Harper looked back at the sprawling, iron-gated mansion. For the first time, she didn't see a prison. She saw a tomb—a burial site for the people they had been forced to be.
